Feet again for Light Fades

Nathan loves our feet, so at our last full band show he filmed my feet perform his favourite new track of ours, Light Fades.  Here it is..

Nancy Elizabeth

Last night we had the pleasure of supporting Nancy Elizabeth (The Leaf Label) at The Latest Music Bar in Brighton. It was a lovely show and very quiet, intimate place. Myself and Niall decided to try out some new material, a song called home, which seemed to go ok.

Nancy Elizabeth was great, performing songs on piano and guitar with a beautiful voice, soft but powerful. We went for a quick drink and chat after the show and had a lovely time hanging out. Hopefully we might see her again at some point, but in the meantime check out her music.

saturday show at the gallery

thanks to everyone who came down, (even from London) to see us. i know all you can see is wee emilio in the corner happily watching but the gallery was rammed and was a great atmosphere. we had alot of fun at it. a friend nathan filmed our feet strangely for alot of this show and posted ‘moment of recognition’ online on YOUTUBE.

we also played O Sister for the first time, written the same time as its sibling O Brother which has been played for the past year at shows. It seemed to go down well and we may put it out on our next release soon. Meantime thanks to Jessica Lee Morgan, Chris and Simon for organising the show and asking us to play. We all hit an open mic night the next night to carry on the fun and should hopefully be playing more gigs together in the future.

merry christmas

hope you all have a beautiful and merry christmas. northern ireland is pretty flattened by snow and it’s a rarity here that the temperatures be so low at -10 degrees. i’ve never seen snow here stay like snow for so many days but it’s been lovely. it’s never been so cold here in my lifetime but hey maybe it’ll just get colder.

[The photo is from my home town of Antrim down by Lough Neagh]

anyway hope you all have had a relaxed day filled with food and wine and see you in the new year! we already have a gig lined up for the new year which is a pretty special show and i’ll release details in the january mail out and via twitter after.

it’s in kemptown, brighton and limited space so  by invite only so keep in touch. x in the meantime keep in the ole vino and turkey scraps.
